There is a lot of great tactical information out there, but we wanted to look at this from another angle. Having good usable analytics data is the foundation of every digital business, but quite often it's also one of the hardest things to achieve. Setting up the analytics is not something that will bring you immediate gains, but definitely something that will come back to bite you if you don't pay enough attention to it. As optimizers we've seen so many different setups and the story is almost always the same. No-one can confidently say that everyone in the company can trust what they see in that analytics set up. Yet important business decisions are made daily based on these numbers. We go through the reasons why this happens so often, how to avoid them and set your team up for success with the right mindset from the beginning.

Episode #3: What we learned about customer journey optimization in Barcelona

In our third episode of the Koalatative Show, we talk about our recent travel experience from Barcelona back to Estonia. As optimizers, we’re always looking at services and experiences through a different lens and like to ask questions on why things are designed the way they are designed. We usually work on digital experiences so this was an interesting case study for us to analyze since we looked at the whole journey from booking a flight to boarding that flight. There are also some travel clips sprinkled in there and our cat Winston joins us for the conversation.

Episode #2: Thinking Fast & Slow in CRO

In the second episode we decided to look at some cognitive biases that could be used in CRO, on websites or in digital marketing in general. Rather than trying to find examples for these biases in the wild, we decided to see if we can come up with examples where they could apply to our own business and website. Some of them are good and reasonable, some of them not so much and exist purely for illustration purposes. Either way, it’s important to understand how biases can be used in marketing to influence behavior.
