FAQ

Since CRO is not a get-rich-quick scheme and coming up with a strategy that will pay dividends for years to come takes time, we like to start with a 3-6 month minimum retainer agreement with the option to continue our work together on a monthly or quarterly basis after that.

We have a client who has been with us for 3 years, another who was with us for 9 months, took a break, and came back, and others who have gotten what they needed during a 3-month engagement.

We start our retainers at 9k USD per month but this service is not one-size-fits-all. In the discovery call we'll map out your business needs, resources, and traffic and conversion volume to get an idea of how much AB testing is realistically achievable, and work with you to determine a fee structure with high ROI.

A big factor for the pricing of an experimentation program is the state of your analytics. It’s not possible to measure user behavior correctly and run good experiments without a proper analytics setup, and the amount of work we have to do to get solid tracking and reporting influences the final price of the service.

Geneally speaking we prefer for you to own your SaaS tools to ensure continuity. Typically the most expensive one is the AB testing platform itself, followed by usability testing and survey tools. We take a tool-agnostic approach so that we're free to recommend software that suits your unique situation without being constrained by vendor partnerships. In many cases there are free tools that get the job done just fine and we'll use them whenever appropriate.

Koalatative is based in Tallinn, Estonia, with our remote team currently in Canada and the UK. We're very comfortable working across different time zones and with teams across the world.

Our focus is on experimentation and CRO and we stay firmly in our wheelhouse, but we will gladly work together with all the relevant departments in your organization to make sure our efforts are aligned across the board. We do not want to work in a silo and we need a holistic view of your digital marketing systems, and this often requires bringing in people from across the company to work on our common goals. If you don't have these functions already in place then we can definitely put you in touch with some rock stars who specialize in what you're looking for.

That said, the side benefit of basing your experimentation program on thorough conversion research is that the things we learn about your customers will be applicable to all other areas of digital marketing.
